Feed the Forest Insight and the demo ending

Insight is the current demo item previously called Worm Egg. Buy it for the story path, not to recruit helper worms.

Content reference: demo v0.5.4

Find the correct item

Visit The Worm shop and look for Insight. Its serialized initial cost is 10,000,000 juice in v0.5.4. The v0.5.0 changelog explicitly records the rename from Worm Egg to Insight. An old video using the egg name is not necessarily showing a separate item you missed.

Plan the final saving stretch

Use the actual Insight price shown in The Worm shop as your target; the v0.5.4 initial price is 10,000,000 juice. Estimate the required minutes manually as max(0, target price − current balance) ÷ your measured collected juice per minute. If the measured rate is zero and the target is not reached, there is no finite waiting estimate. This calculation assumes a constant rate; planting, upgrades and spending change it. Compare any other production purchase with the existing upgrade payback calculator before spending during the saving stretch.

Story and completion are separate goals

The demo uses storybooks and an end-game statistics screen. This guide leaves the story reveal unspoiled. Full ground coverage and the Insight story purchase answer different completion questions, so do not assume that reaching a displayed percentage alone explains every ending step. Save before leaving and use the full-game comparison if you want to understand which later systems belong to Steam.
